L'accesso alla terra per i contadini europei, contro speculazioni e concentrazioni fondiarie

In Europa, le speculazioni fondiarie e la concetrazione della terra stanno sempre di più minacciando l'agricoltura familiare di media e piccola scala. L'aumento dei prezzi dei terreni rendono difficile per i contadini avere accesso ad essi. Nel frattempo, gli investitori stanno comprando enormi appezzamenti di terra, spesso attraverso complessi appigli legali. La terra sta diventando in maniera esponenziale una merce commercializzabile a livello mondiale ed un oggetto di finanza speculativa. Esempi come la Scozia e l'Andalusia, dove la terra coltivabile, i pascoli e le foreste sono altamente concentrati da secoli, mostrano gli effetti negativi per lo sviluppo rurale sostenibile e per le società nel loro insieme.

Questo evento mette insieme contadini, ong, ricercatori, politici ed enti pubblici da diversi paesi europei per analizzare la situazione e discutere possibili soluzioni.
